Discover Vilanculos

Vilanculos is a district of the Inhambane Province in Mozambique and lies directly on the Indian Ocean. With its 55,000 inhabitants (as of 2020), its own airport and very good infrastructure, the lively district town named Vilankulo, is not only easy to reach, but also a very popular holiday destination due to its geographical location.

The idyllic sandy beach of the coastal region stretches seemingly endlessly along the emerald green sea, which gently rolls in waves on the soft, warm sand, while three of the six islands of the breathtakingly beautiful Bazaruto Archipelago can be seen on the horizon. Vilankulo is the perfect starting point for unforgettable day trips to the islands of the national park. Here you can see and feel why the sea can be another word for happiness.
