About us

We are a German-Mozambican family and have been trying to combine the best of both cultures for 40 years. We constantly encounter new challenges in our everyday interactions. However, we have learned to master everything because we have realized that there is not always just one right and wrong. Sometimes there is right and right or wrong and wrong. The most important task for all of us is to remain open-minded, observe and learn from everything we see.

In paradise...

Here in Vilanculos on the Bazaruto Archipelago we live in one of the most beautiful places on earth. In recent decades it has gradually become more important for Mozambique in terms of tourism and is being promoted worldwide as an undiscovered paradise. Holidaymakers take an incomparable break from their lives at home here. That sounds like decadent prosperity, but in our world today it is almost a necessity to be able to withstand the pressure to perform in our idealized society.

Something is wrong here…

So why do we see predominantly luxury and honeymoon tourism or backpackers here? Where are the families who also need this time off? At home because grandma or grandpa can no longer walk well, and the holiday accommodation consists only of tripping hazards? Or because a family member uses a walker or wheelchair and there are no accessible accommodations with adequate bathrooms and bedrooms? Carrying your loved ones over the threshold is romantic, but in the long run it can become a burden and feel degrading for the person being carried because they are always dependent on help.

Doesn't each of us have a beloved family member or friend who has completely different needs for those around them in everyday life due to their very young or particularly old age or because of a disability? Requirements that often cannot be met when traveling.

And now...?

We believe that every family is an important pillar of society and deserves to be able to stop now and then to take a deep breath before they can no longer keep up with the pace and demands of our time. So, we try to create a resort that meets your needs
